Who we are, what we do, and why

Ania's Poland originated with one single goal in mind, that of promoting cultural and business relationships between Poland and the UK.

The purpose of this site is to expand Polish-English relations through cultural exchange of ideas, experiences, people, products and travel.

Our aim is to facilitate the meeting of people of different nationalities and backgrounds, and to increase the knowledge of other cultures.

We aspire to play the part in speeding up the melt down of geographical and language barriers between people and in the destruction of xenophobia.

In more specific terms we aim to assist Polish people who intend to visit England, but for whom the prospect of suddenly arriving in a foreign country where they do not know anybody is daunting. We also want to help English people learn more about Poland and possibly persuade them to go and visit Poland too.

The company is run by Ania Heasley, hence the name - Ania's Poland.
We are a small group of enthusiasts who decided to put our knowledge of Poland, and the fact that we now live in England to some use. The Internet provided the missing link, and here we are.

Ania's Poland started as a personal website in early 1999.
The level of interest and requests for services we received has exceeded all expectations, and we have now become a commercial organisation in order to be better equipped to respond to those requests.
